What is the 300 hour?
Our mission is to provide high-quality, in-depth training in a more accessible way to all who aspire to teach hatha yoga. Our new advanced certification program offers you the unique opportunity to further explore the realms of yoga under the guidance of dedicated, experienced instructors in a supportive environment at the pace that best suits you. Flexible schedule
The 13 -24 month course has a revolving door as we conduct 4 seasonal modules that includes a day-long monthly class, weekly check, teaching reviews, daily practice, with the possibility of a retreat intensive and the delivery of a final workshop.
There are scheduled breaks between the modules, which will allow time for you to integrate the teachings and practices, to study independently, as well as time to complete elective and seva (selfless service) requirements.
Abundant Yoga Resources
A library of resources will be made available upon enrollment to the program, offering the possibility of engaging with experiential learning through audio, visual, written, formats and much more. Lectures, discussions, pod-casts and research periodicals, offer an in-depth instruction in techniques of asana, including anatomical and physiological effects of the posture on the individual. Philosophy and teaching methodology will highlight fundamental precepts from which the tangible skills to guide a class in postural movement and meditation have been birthed out of. Pranayama, mantra and much much more will be explored and elaborated upon for the broad experience of all that Yoga has to offer. The concepts will be highlighted in classes and will be supported with articles, handouts, and study assignments. Customization of the program is made available depending upon the needs of the trainee.
Annual Retreat
Retreats will also include asana, pranayama and meditation practices to assist you in taking your sadhana (personal practice) to another level. The weekend retreats will be held on the dates, times and places agreed upon by the trainees.

Certification
To receive a certificate of completion from Essencia Yoga Teacher Training school students must turn in all assignments, pass all quizzes, complete all papers satisfactorily, and meet attendance requirements. At that point students are eligible to apply for the Yoga Alliance 300 Hour Recognition. See “Graduation Requirements” for definition of successful program completion.
